DUCKS CAN WRAP IT UP ON SATURDAY

The Ducks came away from Windsor on Thursday night with a convincing 5-2 win, and lead the best of seven series 3-1.Eric Jackaman and Sam Webb again lead the charge for the Royals, each scoring in the first period. Sandwiched between those Windsor goals was a powerplay goal from Nick Brewster (Scott Bowness).
In the second period it was all Ducks, as they scored two more to take a 3-2 lead to the dressing room. The Ducks’ goals came from Greg Grant (Mat Shannon and Andrew Bellefontaine) and Nic Jessome (Jake Bullen).
In the third it was all Jessome and Bullen as the duo combined on two more goals (Bullen from Jessome at 4.47 and Bullen from Jessome and Tyler MacDonald at 10.15).
Shots on goal were 39 for the Ducks and 43 for the Royals. Travis Smith went the distance in the Ducks net for the win.
Game time on Saturday is 7 PM. A win for the Ducks will end the year for the Royals.
